MADA 2009

Artist in Residence

Digital Arts has been hosting an Artist in residence, Nicola Schauerman, along with BA Photography. This has been an excellent chance for MA students to engage with a practicing artist developing interactive art.

MA Digital Arts Revalidation

For the start of this academic year 2008-09, the MA Digital Arts course has been successfully revalidated. Camberwell College of Arts has generated one MA, MA visual Arts and the existing MA courses such as MA Digital Arts + Digital Arts Online, have become ’specialisms’ within that structure. This has a number of benefits. Staff research and practice is beginning to feature much more prominently, and this will be exploited as the new setup beds in.

This also puts Camberwell in a very exciting position within CCW [Camberwell Chelsea Wimbledon]. The Graduate School is starting in the new academic year, Sept. 2009. It spans the three colleges and will offer some exciting opportunities for cross college, debate focussed upon staff and student research. Digital Arts will inevitably play a central role in this.
